About Laura Peters

I have been designing professionally since 2005 for a variety of clients. I have a love for learning and as a result, my experience ranges from traditional studio arts and graphic design to web development and information architecture. I love solving puzzles of all kinds (including the Rubik’s Cube in 60 seconds), but I have a particular fondness for studying and developing unique user interfaces.

I am fully captivated by my projects and I love finding innovative solutions with clean, logical interactions. I begin by sketching my thoughts and moving into wireframes and prototypes to communicate complex concepts.

As a creative consultant, I build close relationships with my clients and work to understand their unique needs and challenges. Each new industry is a chance to explore an alternate perspective and design appropriately for their audience.

Every project is a great learning experience and story that I’m proud to share with my friends and colleagues.

Recommendations

I am happy to put forward Ms. Laura Peters as a highly qualified and talented User Interface Designer/Developer. While leading Tribune Company’s UX department, I had the good fortune to be able to have Ms. Peters transferred from the development group onto my team. While working as UI Designer, Laura immediately demonstrated the value of a visual designer who also knows how to code. Case in point: when a developer couldn’t deliver on a crucial deadline, Laura not only designed the front end, she programed it as well—hitting the deadline AND making Tribune’s Vice President of Digital Publishing look good. I strongly endorse Ms. Peters for any opportunity that requires the skills of a UI Designer with or without the ability to code.

Working with Laura was one of the best experiences I’ve had. She is such an extraordinary photographer and she is very passionate about what she does. The photos that she took were absolutely amazing! I loved every aspect of them! She worked so hard to make sure I was happy with the end results and she is someone I would highly recommend if you want a photography session you’ll never forget. She truly is the best photographer!

I needed a graphic converted to a vector format and I needed it fast! Laura was able to jump right on this project and give me a turn around time in a matter of hours when I was expecting days. The work was fantastic and everyone from myself to the printers were impressed. She does great work!
